The Falls

Vamos pa’ la playa, pa’ curarte el alma.

An ex -collaborator, currently based in the Dominican Republic, reached out to us to design the preliminary project and concept for a luxury multi-family housing development in Punta Cana — an enclave where every detail promises a dreamlike lifestyle.

The design explores sinuous floor plans: curved volumes that seem to flow like waves, connected by generous continuous balconies that offer views from every room and transform into private terraces for Caribbean sunrises and sunsets.

At the heart of the community are the shared spaces: a double-height lobby that welcomes with natural wood and beige stone, fitness rooms that open onto the gardens, barbecue corners, and an outdoor bar surrounded by green pergolas. The experience culminates in a series of cascading pools that blend seamlessly into the landscape, like mirrors of water suspended above the sand.

The materials—treated teak wood, locally sourced coral stone, and polished white concrete—were chosen for their resistance to wind and salt, ensuring both beauty and durability under the Caribbean sun. Native vegetation and clusters of palm “islands” distributed along green walkways reinforce the feeling of a tropical haven.

This gym integrates natural materials and abundant greenery to create a fresh, healthy atmosphere that enhances physical and mental balance. The connection with the surrounding landscape and the use of warm wood surfaces bring a sense of calm and vitality to the space — turning daily exercise into an experience of well-being and connection with nature.

Designed as a communal gathering point, this outdoor pavilion combines contemporary design with a warm, tropical sensibility. A central stone island with integrated barbecue and sink becomes the social core of the space, surrounded by a generous dining area and relaxed lounge seating. The timber pergola provides shade by day and a softly illuminated canopy by night — creating an inviting atmosphere for shared meals, conversation, and connection.
